GEORGE

DESCRIPTION

GEORGE is a Humanoid from Robot George. It is built for Assembly, Machine-Tending, Material-Handling.

GEORGE is Robot George's industrial humanoid, engineered in Zlin in the Czech Republic for the work Europe can no longer staff: two arms that learn by watching, a body that goes where people go, and GeorgeOS running all of it. It is aimed at dirty, dull and dangerous jobs - dust-laden powder-coating booths and grinding cells, the thousandth identical kitting pick, freezers at minus 25 degrees - so that the rest of the floor can stay exactly as it is. Its design is built around swapping and mounting. Quick-change wrists take a four-fingered dexterous hand, a two-jaw gripper for clamping force, suction for sheet and glass, or a hook for loads, so one robot can cover stations that would otherwise each need a machine. The same upper body - arms, sensors and GeorgeOS - mounts three ways: on a fixed pedestal at a bench, on a scissor lift that reaches from floor pallet to top shelf, or on legs that walk the plant. The build is industrial rather than showroom: machined and anodised metal, gasketed panel seams and hex-socket fasteners a maintenance technician can undo, made to take dust, coolant mist and a knock from a pallet truck and to be wiped down at the end of a shift. GEORGE runs in three modes without changing hardware: autonomously, executing tasks from skills learned in simulation and refined on real hardware; with a human in the loop through immersive VR teleoperation, where every correction becomes training data; and under remote oversight from a mobile app. Its task catalogue covers machine and tool tending, kitting and sequencing, bin picking, line-side handling, inspection and sorting, simple two-handed assembly, picking and packing, and trailer unloading. Robot George takes non-binding pre-orders for the first series and has published no dimensions, mass or payload.
