DESCRIPTION
FreeGait is a Medical-Robots from BAMA Teknoloji. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Rehabilitation, Over-ground exoskeleton walking therapy after spinal cord injury.
FreeGait is BAMA Teknoloji's powered lower-limb exoskeleton for over-ground walking therapy of people with spinal cord injury, offering a natural, guided walking pattern on the ground that helps develop balance, control and strength. Besides walking, it can sit, stand, ascend and descend ramps and steps, turn left and right and take approach steps, with selectable step lengths and speeds. The device is adjusted to each patient's size through its adjustable orthosis and is controlled either by the therapist or by the patient through several interfaces - an operator controller, a membrane grip controller that lets the physiotherapist support the patient, and a crutch controller. A replaceable battery allows uninterrupted therapy, it has a composite footplate, and it ships with a trunk harness, optional shoulder straps, pads, batteries, charger and a transport box and stand. It carries CE marking as a medical device.
