DESCRIPTION

Fieldworker 1 is an Agricultural-Robots from Fieldwork Robotics. It is built for Agriculture, Picking, Selective harvesting of fresh raspberries. Key figures: released 2024.

Fieldworker 1 is Fieldwork Robotics' autonomous raspberry-harvesting robot, launched in August 2024 as an enhanced model that detects berry ripeness more accurately and picks faster than earlier versions, so that it can harvest at the same speed and quality as human pickers. Its AI uses spectral frequency analysis to remove human bias from judging ripeness, and it is designed to work in a fleet with one operator running multiple robots across a field, giving growers a predictable cost per berry. It builds on the Innovate UK-backed Berry Bot and Berry AI projects. Fieldwork began trials with Costa Group on Australian berry farms from the first quarter of 2025. In 2026 it raised funding to manufacture production robots for a two-year harvesting-as-a-service programme with Place UK in Norfolk and at Littywood Farm in Stafford, with multi-robot fleets expected on farms from 2027 subject to those trials.
