DESCRIPTION
Engineer is a Mobile-Robots from Servosila. It is built for Material-Handling, Reconnaissance, Research. Key figures: 13 kg, 240 min runtime, 6 kg payload.
The Servosila 'Engineer' is a lightweight tracked mobile robot for missions where the environment or the work itself puts people at risk - disaster response, firefighting, search and rescue, public safety, industrial maintenance and tunnel and pipeline work - and is also used as a research and education platform. Weighing 13 to 25 kg depending on configuration, it fits in a regular backpack or a car boot so one operator can carry it to hard-to-reach areas, yet it climbs stairs on its tracked chassis and auxiliary flippers (steps up to 23 cm, flights up to 35 degrees), rights itself from sideways or upside-down positions, and can raise its sensor head to 130 cm to look inside parked cars or ground-floor windows. It is watertight and dust-proof to IP68 and works from -20 to +40 C in rain, dust and snow.\nIt is modular: buyers choose a chassis with or without flippers and a turret servo, a one- or two-segment robotic arm with a regular or rotating gripper (lifting up to 6 kg, able to turn door handles, with hardpoints for claws, drills or saws), and a robotic head carrying the mission computer (optionally GPGPU-capable for autonomy), a radio module and sensors such as wide-angle front and rear cameras, a 24x optical zoom camera, a thermal camera, stereo cameras, a laser scanner, GPS/GLONASS, an IMU and a headlight. The laser scanner and stereo vision give it SLAM mapping and automatic obstacle avoidance in operator-assisted driving. An operator drives it with VR goggles or a handheld screen and a joystick over a 902-928 MHz or 2.4 GHz radio link (several kilometres line-of-sight), Wi-Fi or cable; it reaches 5 km/h, runs over 4 hours in continuous motion or up to 20 hours in static surveillance, and its LiFePO4 battery can be swapped in the field in under a minute.
