DESCRIPTION

Bloomrehab Rehabilitation Robot is a Medical-Robots from Bloomrehab. It is built for Rehabilitation.

Bloomrehab's rehabilitation robot is a mobile column on castors carrying a short two-link robotic arm with swappable limb cuffs. A therapist clips the cuff to a patient's forearm or lower leg, demonstrates the movement once, and the robot then repeats it for high-repetition therapy at the bedside, in a wheelchair or in a physiotherapy room, with a tablet interface and an emergency stop. One device covers compound-movement, bedside arm and lower-limb or gait rehabilitation for stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and orthopaedic patients. The Bengaluru company, founded in 2024 by Prashanth Jonna and Abhishek Prasad and backed by NSRCEL at IIM Bangalore, IISc and a WTFund grant, aims at an affordable device that can eventually be used at home. Its site shows the robot in use with patients in clinical settings; no model name, payload or range-of-motion figures have been published.
