DESCRIPTION

RoboCT KidGo Exoskeleton (Medical) is a Medical-Robots from RoboCT. It is built for Assistance, Rehabilitation, Paediatric rehabilitation in hospitals and medical institutions.

KidGo is RoboCT's children's rehabilitation exoskeleton, and the design problem it solves is as much psychological as mechanical: a child will not perform hundreds of repetitions because a therapist asks. So the training is wrapped in virtualised, gamified interaction, and the machine itself is shaped like an animal to take the fear out of it. Underneath that, it does serious clinical work — repetitive high-frequency gait training for children with cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, brain lesions or other neuromuscular disease, with trunk stabilisation and effective weight transfer used to correct abnormal gait early, while the motor system is still plastic. Training data is monitored and fed back in real time so therapists can adjust the programme during the session rather than after it, and a shock-absorption module handles comfort and safety. It is registered as a Class II medical device for neuro-central pathologies including paraplegia and hemiplegia, and it fits children between 100 and 160 cm tall weighing up to 80 kg.
