DESCRIPTION
BabyAlpha Dev-Q is a Legged-Robots from WEILAN. It is built for Development, Research, Inspection. Key figures: 7 kg, 120 min runtime, released 2024.
BabyAlpha Dev-Q is the developer edition of WEILAN's BabyAlpha robot dog, sold as an open quadruped platform for engineers, students and hobbyists rather than as a companion pet. It drops the A2's character head for a flat microfibre-covered body with a top-mounted peripheral port, Ethernet, USB and a power-out port, plus an emergency stop. The platform weighs about 7 kg, uses carbon-fibre joint motors, reaches 7.2 km/h with a 450-degree-per-second turn rate, and runs about 120 minutes per charge with up to six hours on standby. WEILAN pitches it as a base for builders: fitted with a container it carries items, with cameras it becomes an inspection or telepresence robot, and it can even carry a drone. Dev-Q was introduced alongside the A2's international launch in October 2024, with deliveries starting on 30 October 2024.
