DESCRIPTION

Avenger Pickup is HETWIN's manure collection robot, which collects manure rather than pushing it. Developed for solid floors, it can also work on fixed surfaces and slatted floors in mixed farm settings. A converging screw rotor propels manure into a 450-litre collection container at the back, 70-litre water tanks keep the manure moist enough to be collected reliably, and nozzles at the rear stop the floor becoming slippery; liquid additives approved by HETWIN can be mixed in automatically to reduce emissions and odours. The robot navigates autonomously using rotary encoders in its drives and a handful of reference magnets embedded in the ground. Its 1.8 m wide scraper blade means few trips per aisle, and at only 0.68 m high it passes under shed partitions. Routes are created and the robot operated from a PC, tablet or mobile; the parking and charging position doubles as the discharge point, where a flap under the tank opens to empty it.
