DESCRIPTION
ME is Roborn's full-size humanoid and the clearest expression of what the company actually sells: not autonomy, but presence. The robot is built at 1:1 human scale and driven by motion capture of the operator's own body, so instead of programming a task you perform it and the robot performs it with you, in real time. A camera in the robot's head feeds VR goggles, giving the operator a first-person view from where the robot is standing. The goggles carry a head sensor, so looking up, down, left or right turns the robot's head the same way — the operator's gaze and the robot's gaze stay coupled. That combination is what makes it usable for remote inspection and for delicate work in places a person should not be. Roborn positions ME across remote inspection, hazardous-environment work and detailed site observation, all over a 5G link.
