The R2 generation added a brain and a face to that endurance — it integrates the DeepSeek-V3 language model for natural dialogue, adjusts its tone, recognises human emotion and responds to it, and manages fine social gestures such as a fist-and-palm salute and a handshake alongside high-precision grasping. Youbaote's team, drawn from the CAS Institute of Automation and Shandong University, builds electric, hydraulic and electro-hydraulic legged machines, and the Taishan line carries that mixed-drive expertise into a humanoid.
