ROV ORCA is a compact tethered underwater inspection vehicle from Planys Technologies for confined or enclosed water: dams and spillways, intake and storage tanks, tunnels, surge shafts and pipelines. It lets plant operators inspect submerged structures without draining them or sending divers into hazardous spaces, and is used mainly through Planys' inspection services. The vehicle is rated to 120 m, extendable to 300 m, and takes modular payloads of up to 10 kg. Dual HD cameras with adjustable brightness give usable video in turbid water, streamed live to the surface, and sonar imaging covers zero-visibility conditions. Contact and non-contact steel NDT and concrete NDT tools measure the condition of linings, gates and walls during the same inspection. Results go into Planys' digital reports with geo-tagged defects. The company reports 10,000 operational hours across its ROV fleet and lists hydropower, water, power and process-plant operators among its customers.
