Lanxin VB2

VB2 is the larger of Lanxin's two humanoid service robots, and the step up from the VB1 is in the arms and the reach rather than the footprint. It has seven arm joints against the VB1's six, grips 5 kg against 2, and works across a height range of 0.4 to 2 m, which covers everything from a low shelf to an overhead one. Battery life roughly doubles too, at four to six hours. It stands 1,700 mm on a 580 by 480 mm base with a 760 mm rotation diameter, so it turns inside its own footprint in a corridor, and rides 35 mm off the ground. Travel is up to 1.2 m/s. Navigation is 3D laser SLAM, which is the company's own speciality — Lanxin builds the 3D vision sensors these robots run on.
