#Staubli robot programming and simulation(Robot 6Axis, Model no.TX2-90)

Jul 23, 2026
“Welcome to my channel.
Today we’re exploring the Stäubli TX2-90 — a high precision, 6-axis industrial robot arm designed for high speed, low maintenance and flexible mounting. With a payload of up to 14kg and a reach of about 1 meter, this robot covers a wide range of industrial tasks. We’ll walk through how to simulate its work-cell, program a basic pick-and-place, and then show the real robot executing the task. By the end, you’ll understand the workflow from digital twin to live cell.”
Key Specifications:-
1. Degrees of freedom: 6 axes.
2. Load/payload: up to ~14 kg for the TX2-90 variant.
3. Reach (between axis 1 and axis 6): ~1000 mm for TX2-90.
4. Protection / Environment: versions with IP65/67, cleanroom ready, encapsulated arm, no external cables for clean/hygienic environments.
5. For programming you’ll typically use the Stäubli controller (e.g., CS9) and robot specific language/trajectory definitions. The simulation work might include path planning, cycle time estimation, tool/fixture modelling.
