Germany’s NEURA Robotics introduces Neuron AI, a multimodal foundation model for physical AI trained in Metzingen. CEO David Reger and Dr. Jens Buchner explain how the system combines 3D vision, hearing, touch, language, and memory so a real robot can judge actions a camera alone cannot, such as whether a connector clicked or a screw caught its thread. The model is built to run on NEURA’s own robots, including the 4NE1 humanoid, and supports autonomous task sequences such as laundry handling.
