Honor's real humanoid robot Lightning (also reported as Flash), built in China by the smartphone maker, completes a 100-metre test run in Beijing in 9.32 seconds ahead of the World Humanoid Robot Games. The clip shows the physical biped sprinting, reaching a reported peak of 14.5 m/s, 0.26 seconds faster than Usain Bolt's 9.58-second human record. It also notes Lightning already won the Beijing humanoid half marathon in April 2026 in 50:26, after which engineers lengthened its legs by 10 centimetres for the sprint. The footage is of the actual robot on the track, not a render or concept.
