VARIOCART is a configurable automated guided vehicle line from dpm for pre-assembly lines and intralogistics. As an assembly AGV it carries modules such as bumpers through pre-assembly stations at working height, and as an underride AGV it moves containers, pre-assembly assemblies or car bodies between areas; a tugger version picks up loads by pin. Each vehicle is adapted to the customer's task in dimensions and payload. dpm quotes a payload of 1 t when carrying and 1.6 t when hauling, speeds up to 1.6 m/s, power from batteries, Powercaps or inductive supply, and guidance by optical, magnetic or inductive lanes or free SLAM navigation, under Siemens S7 control. VARIOCART vehicles are in use at MTU Aero Engines and, combined with the VISION-E, in electric-car final assembly.
