DESCRIPTION

The T&C Robot — Roborn calls it Intelligent Site Assistant-One, ISA-I — does the testing and commissioning rounds on a construction site: scheduled inspections, plus measurement of indoor environmental quality and illuminance. Its output is the point: readings are turned into electronic site records for the engineers, so the paperwork stage of commissioning produces itself. A high-resolution camera lets it scan a site with video analytics and check what it sees against the Building Information Model, which turns an inspection round into a progress check. Multiple IoT sensors measure indoor air quality, noise and illuminance simultaneously, and results upload over 5G to a cloud platform where they can be reviewed remotely and turned into T&C forms. A special wheel design lets it work across the varied and unfinished terrain of a live site, and it can be driven locally through a control interface. The build comprises an AGV chassis, a control system, an inspection system and a sensor system. Roborn cites a deployment at the Immigration Headquarters in Tseung Kwan O.
