DESCRIPTION

Teleport is a Mobile-Robots from Aubot Pty Ltd. It is built for Remote, Education, Remote presence for meetings, classes, consultations and family visits. Key figures: 360 min runtime, price 4,980 AUD, released 2016.

Teleport is Aubot's telepresence robot, which lets a remote user visit a place or person through a mobile video-conferencing experience - driving through an office, school, lab or event rather than relying on someone at the other end to show them around. It is used for remote work and meetings, health consultations, training, education and visiting family. Teleport has a 10.1-inch FHD IPS display (1920 x 1200), dual cameras looking forwards and downwards at the same time with a wide-angle lens covering more than 120 degrees, a loudspeaker loud enough to match a human voice, ultrasonic sensors in the base that warn of obstacles and a 6-hour battery. Its height can be raised and lowered remotely - from about 110 to 170 cm - to talk with people sitting or standing or inspect objects. It is driven from a web interface in Google Chrome or an Android device, docks itself on a drive-in charging mat, and sells for AUD 4,980 with a one-year warranty. Aubot has shipped it since 2016.
