hibot Soryu-C snake-like inspection robot

DESCRIPTION

Soryu-C is an Industrial-Robot from hibot. It is built for Testing, Inspection, Monitoring. Key figures: 10.5 kg.

Soryu-C is hibot's slender snake-like robot for remote operation in uneven and unstructured environments. It can be inserted through openings as small as 100 mm in diameter and move over highly irregular surfaces, with traction modules sealed against dust and water so it can work in mud, water, sand and debris. Two high-definition cameras on the main unit serve navigation and inspection of confined spaces. One application is inspecting underground pipes: it is lowered through a small vertical pipe by a semi-autonomous reel until it reaches a pluvial drainage pipe, then moves against flowing water, inside mud and over obstacles while recording the pipe wall, up to 100 m from the entry point. The main unit measures 1,720 x 94.5 x 79.5 mm, weighs 10.5 kg, has 49 N of traction, moves at 100 mm/s and is rated IP67, on a tether of 150 m.
