DESCRIPTION
Silkworm is an Industrial-Robot from E80 Group. It is built for Packaging, palletizing, Pallet stretch wrapping.
Silkworm is E80 Group's robotic stretch-wrapping system for pallets at the end of production lines. It combines robotics with a 1,000 mm-high, 60 kg film reel while the load rotates, which E80 says makes it fast, compact and redundant, and wraps full diagonals for better load stability. Two wrapping heads change over automatically - a patented design - so wrapping continues while the operator replaces a reel safely outside the guards, giving eight hours of autonomy from a single system. The tall reel cuts the number of wrapping turns and reel changes compared with 500 mm reels, and E80 cites up to 30% less film than manual or traditional wrappers.
