The L4-G1 is Shenhao's explosion-proof machine for oil and gas plants — a 270 kg four-wheel differential robot sealed to IP65 and built so that nothing about it can ignite the atmosphere it works in, including the way it charges. Rather than docking metal contacts, which arc, it charges wirelessly through an explosion-proof station. It navigates tracklessly and maps the site itself during inspection with no manual teaching, then reads records and meters, recognises equipment operating status, and detects combustible and toxic gas, storing the results in structured form so a big-data expert system can support decisions and trace history. It runs six hours or more at 1 m/s across a -20 to 60°C range, with anti-collision, anti-fall and equipment self-inspection.
