DESCRIPTION

SenseRobot Chess Mini is a smaller, portable version of SenseRobot's chess robot, aimed at children and travel. It clamps to the edge of a table, reads the board with a camera and moves its own 3D pieces with a robotic arm and gripper, so a game can be played on almost any table. Its engine runs from Elo 200 to 1700, with the online Apex Duel mode at Elo 3200 for stronger players. Training content covers 25 lessons, more than 1,200 exercises, 145 endgames and 100 classic games, with up to three hints and three takebacks a game. A 5.5-inch screen, microphone and speaker handle prompts and conversation, and Wi-Fi links it to Lichess.org, the SenseRobot app and firmware updates. The set measures 480 x 315 x 250 mm and weighs 2.1 kg with board, pieces and adapter. It was shown at CES 2026 and sold on pre-order at US$639, with shipping from 1 September 2026.
