The M4 core is the base model of SAFELOG's mid-size M4 series, a 1.46 m-long transport robot with a brushless servo motor for high starting torque and a 1 m turning radius. On variable superstructures, which can include conveyor technology, it carries top loads of up to 300 kg, and it can also serve as a mobile assembly platform. Safety laser scanners front and rear protect people around it, and it navigates by magnetic track, RFID and odometry, with LiDAR or a 2D camera as options. Per its datasheet it measures 1,460 x 450 x 220 mm, weighs 194 kg, drives at up to 1.0 m/s loaded (1.6 m/s empty) and runs about 1.2 hours under load on its standard 24 V 21 Ah LiFePO4 battery, or up to about 4.7 hours with four packs.
