DESCRIPTION
R5 is a Delivery-Robots from Rino.ai. It is built for Delivery, Transport, Middle-mile and last-mile autonomous road freight. Key figures: 800 kg payload, released 2024.
The R5 is Rino.ai's autonomous driving cargo van for both middle-mile and last-mile logistics. In express and logistics operations it carries goods from warehouses to transfer hubs and pickup points, and for retail and supermarkets it replenishes stores from warehouses and moves stock between stores. It has a maximum design speed of 45 km/h, a range of 120 km on complex urban roads, an 800 kg payload and 5 m3 of cargo space, and charges in 1.5 hours on DC or 6-8 hours on AC. The R5 Robovan rolled off the production line in June 2024. It runs Rino.ai's self-developed L4 autonomous driving system on its own high-reliability computing platform and hardware - domain and localization controllers, a parallel (remote) driving panel and a remote power-control unit - and fuses LiDAR and cameras with a BEV+Transformer surround-view vision system for all-day, all-weather operation. High-precision vehicle control and safety redundancy protect vehicles and pedestrians, data is encrypted, and a self-developed dispatch system and app monitor vehicle location and plan delivery routes. Multiple compartments allow multi-stop deliveries, software is updated over the air, core components carry a five-year warranty and maintenance is lifetime.
