The PIR-DS400 is CSG Smart's wheeled lifting inspection robot for unattended indoor substations and equipment rooms, replacing manual patrols. It navigates, positions and charges itself and raises its sensor head to inspect equipment at different heights. It carries video surveillance, intelligent vision, partial-discharge detection, infrared thermal imaging, environmental sensing and smoke detection. Ultrasonic radar all around lets it avoid and drive around obstacles, and laser range sensors stop it falling. 3D reflector-free laser navigation repeats positions to under 1 cm, two-wheel drive lets it turn on the spot, an all-round pan-tilt head covers the equipment, and it patrols for more than 6.5 hours per charge.
