DESCRIPTION

The Auriga C is OCME's range of laser guided vehicles fitted with on-board conveyors - chains, rollers or rubber belts - designed to move product from one fixed conveyor to another without a fork transfer. The range runs from the Auriga C1, carrying a single pallet at up to 1,500 kg, through the C2 at 3,000 kg, to the Auriga C4, which transports four pallets simultaneously at up to 5,000 kg. Because the vehicle handles the load on its own conveyor deck, it couples directly to line conveyors at pick-up and drop-off. It is a laser guided vehicle: a laser scanner reads reflectors placed around the building to fix its position, so routes are defined in software and can be changed without re-laying floor guides. Battery options run to waterless lead-acid, gel and pure-lead Nexsys packs, with automatic, manual or opportunity charging, and the fleet is coordinated through OCME's supervisor and warehouse management system.
