DESCRIPTION
Niryo Orion System is a Medical-Robots from Niryo. It is built for Manipulation, Medical-Assistance. Key figures: 1000 kg, 375 kg payload, 6 degrees of freedom.
Orion System is a high-precision robotic patient positioning system for radiation therapy - including proton therapy and neutron therapy - and medical imaging. It positions the patient lying, seated or standing so treatment can start accurately on the first attempt, reducing repositioning and repeat imaging, streamlining clinical workflow and letting centres treat more patients each day. The 6-degree-of-freedom robot delivers 0.5 mm absolute positioning accuracy regardless of patient weight, with a maximum payload of 375 kg; it weighs 1,000 kg plus 170 kg of control equipment. Designed from the ground up for clinical use, it is CE marked, FDA 510(k) cleared and built under an ISO 13485 quality system, with collision detection and an integrated force sensor, and optional haptic control and application-specific accessories. Multiple mounting configurations, configurable coupling and a standard motion-control interface over Ethernet let integrators and OEMs fit it into new or existing treatment rooms. Niryo reports more than 160 robots deployed, 10 years of clinical experience, up to 50 patients treated per day per robot and continuous operation six days a week. Niryo acquired the Orion business with BizLink Group's healthcare robotics unit in summer 2026, with production continuing in France.
