DESCRIPTION
Niryo Ned2 is an Educational-Robots from Niryo. It is built for Pick-and-place, Research, Education. Key figures: 0.3 kg payload, 490 mm reach, 6 degrees of freedom, price €3,990.
Ned2 is Niryo's 6-axis educational desktop robotic arm, inspired by industrial robots and built for teaching. Teachers in high schools, technical schools, community colleges and universities, as well as professionals, use it to teach everything from the basics of robotics to expert-level skills. It carries 300 g (at 20 mm TCP) with 490 mm reach and plus or minus 0.5 mm repeatability, and connects over Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz), 1 Gb Ethernet and USB. Hardware features include an ergonomic control panel for moving the robot without programming, an 'easy connect' magnetic system to plug in grippers in seconds, a flexible back panel for accessories and sensors, an LED ring that shows the robot's state, silent stepper motors for quiet classrooms, and Snaplink magnetic mounting for accessories. It is open source and programmable at every level: Blockly for first lessons, Python, ROS and ROS 2 for multi-robot projects, MATLAB for kinematics, RoboDK (a licence is included for simulation), TensorFlow and OpenCV for machine learning and vision, and NVIDIA for embedded AI. Niryo lists it at EUR 3,990 excluding duties and taxes with a one-year warranty, alongside classroom and industrial automation packs, NiryoAcademy content and support services.
