DESCRIPTION
Nimbo is an Agricultural-Robots from Sveaverken. It is built for Agriculture. Key figures: 500 kg, 960 min runtime.
Nimbo is Sveaverken's self-navigating robotic feed pusher for cattle barns. It drives along the feed table and pushes feed back to the fence so cows can reach it, aiming to improve intake, animal well-being and milk production while cutting labour; Sveaverken says it replaces on average three workers and one tractor. It navigates by vision, with monocular and binocular cameras plus ultrasonic sensors, so no magnets are needed along the feed tables - only a short magnetic-nail path from the charging station and at turns - and installation takes a few hours. Two 400 W brushless motors drive it at 18 m/min, and a 48 V, 40 Ah lithium battery charges fully in 4 hours, uses under 5% per task and lasts two days of normal use or 16 hours non-stop, with automatic recharging after each run. A camera system and Wi-Fi give remote monitoring and control. The Nimbo Plus version adds a skirt-lift mechanism for slopes up to 27% (versus 10.5% for Nimbo) and a built-in music speaker as standard.
