DESCRIPTION
MPL80 II is an Industrial-Robot from YASKAWA Electric. It is built for Material-Handling, palletizing. Key figures: 550 kg, 80 kg payload, 2061 mm reach, 5 degrees of freedom.
The Motoman MPL80 II is Yaskawa's 5-axis palletizing robot with an 80 kg payload and a 2,061 mm horizontal reach. It is derived from a 6-axis handling robot and tuned for high speed and acceleration, running on Yaskawa's Sigma-5 servo technology, and is built to be quick to install and deploy at the end of a packing line. The arm repeats to 0.07 mm, weighs 550 kg and draws a 4 kVA supply. Its S, L, U and B axes each move at up to 170 degrees per second and the T (wrist) axis at up to 350 degrees per second. It can be mounted on the floor or a wall. The MPL80 II has since been followed by the Motoman PL80, which Yaskawa says has faster axes and a wrist that takes four times the load.
