DESCRIPTION

Microsure MUSA-3 is a Medical-Robots from Microsure. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Surgery, Lymphatic surgery, reconstructive supermicrosurgery.

MUSA-3 is Microsure's robot for open supermicrosurgery, designed to help microsurgeons work with steadier, more precise movements in delicate procedures such as lymphatic and reconstructive surgery. It has two parts: a surgeon console with joysticks, an arm set and footswitch, and a cart carrying the robotic arms, used together with a separate digital or hybrid microscope. Joystick movements are passed to the arms with motion scaling and tremor filtering, and the surgeon keeps using familiar microsurgical instruments, which clip into the arm wrists through disposable adapters. MUSA-3 succeeds MUSA-2, launched in 2019 as the first CE-certified microsurgical robot and used in about 50 patients in studies at Maastricht University Medical Center and Uppsala University Hospital. The new generation adds dexterity, a wider workspace and access to angulated, hard-to-reach planes; Microsure raised a €38 million Series B2 in 2023 to take it through clinical studies to CE and FDA approval.
