DESCRIPTION

The Lombrico S Ex-0 is Gerotto's ATEX and IECEx Zone 0 certified robot for cleaning storage tanks in refineries, terminals and industrial plants without sending people inside. Fully hydraulic and remotely controlled, it enters a 600 mm (24-inch) manhole and works in explosive atmospheres from a control unit placed in a safe area or an ATEX Zone 1 area, so no tank blanketing with inert gas is needed. With a 100 mm suction hose the robot is 1,920 mm long and 420 mm high. It carries Zone 0 HD cameras and LED lights, a non-sparking bronze auger and directable high-pressure nozzles to break up compact material, and can be fitted with magnetic tracks, telemetry sensors and other accessories; Gerotto describes the Lombrico line as the result of more than 20 years of development.
