E80 Group laser-guided vehicle (LGV) fleet for pallet handling

DESCRIPTION

LGV is an Industrial-Robot from E80 Group. It is built for Intralogistics, Loading, Material-Handling. Key figures: 5000 kg payload.

E80 Group's laser-guided vehicles (LGVs) are the automated forklifts at the centre of its intralogistics systems, moving pallets of finished goods and raw materials from production lines to storage, feeding packaging to the lines, managing block storage and racking, supporting automatic picking and loading and unloading trucks. They navigate by laser, are coordinated by E80's SM.I.LE80 software, which talks to the customer's ERP, and run on Flash Battery lithium batteries with over 96% energy efficiency and contactless induction charging. The range handles CHEP, GMA, EURO, block and stringer pallets and can be fitted with extendable forks for double-deep storage or to carry two pallets side by side. Across the range the vehicles stack pallets up to 12 m (41 ft) high, lift up to 3,000 kg and transport up to 5,000 kg, and work from -26 C to 40 C. E80 began automated truck-loading tests in the US in 2010 and reports more than 1,400 LGVs in 43 fully automated US factories; group-wide it cites 6,500 LGVs installed.
