DESCRIPTION

Keipu-Sb is a Medical-Robots from AIZUK Co., Ltd.. It is built for Helping, Bed transfer and mobility for people needing care. Key figures: 55 kg, 160 min runtime, 75 kg payload, price ¥900,000, released 2021.

Keipu-Sb is the sensor-equipped version of AIZUK's Keipu transfer-and-mobility robot, which users board from behind directly from a bed - avoiding lifting, one-carer transfers in awkward postures and fall risk. The seat and handrails rise and lower at the push of a button so the user can match the height of a bed or toilet and reach high shelves, and the robot turns freely through 360 degrees on the spot around beds, in toilets, kitchens and lifts. It is driven with a one-hand joystick or remotely from an Android smartphone app, sensors stop it in front of obstacles, five wheels improve stability and reduce tipping risk, and the battery is removable for charging from a household socket. It measures 75 x 60.5 x 116.5 cm, weighs 55 kg, has a 42.5-72.5 cm seat height, carries users up to 75 kg at 1.5 km/h forward (0.7 km/h reverse), climbs 6-degree slopes, charges in 3.5 hours and runs about 2 hours 40 minutes (3.6 km) per charge. On sale since fiscal 2021, it is listed for Japanese long-term-care insurance (TAIS code 01689-000001) and sells for JPY 900,000, with rental and trial rides available.
