DESCRIPTION

Jevaroo is a Mobile-Robots from Aubot Pty Ltd. It is built for Helping, Home-care manipulation for people with a disability and seniors. Key figures: 480 min runtime, 2.3 kg payload.

Jevaroo is Aubot's home-care robot: an 8-degree-of-freedom robot arm on a movable base, designed to give people with a disability and older people more independence and to save carers' travel time and costs. Its tri-directional omni-wheeled base gives holonomic drive - forwards, backwards, sideways and rotating on the spot - and is weighted with three batteries, two stepper motors and steel plates for a low centre of mass. Twin screw-type linear actuators form a neck with 25 cm of vertical travel, and a three-joint limb modelled on a human arm (elbow, wrist pitch and wrist rotation) ends in a padded hand with a 15 cm grip that can hold door handles, cups and similar items. Jevaroo reaches up to 110 cm horizontally and about 170-180 cm vertically, lifts 2.32 kg at its closest angle and 1.32 kg at its furthest, runs 8 hours on battery and is driven with an Xbox controller; Aubot describes it as community-driven development.
