DESCRIPTION

INSPECTOR-202O is a Military from AEROCON. It is built for Others, Aerial target simulation for air-defence (MANPADS) training. Key figures: 3.5 kg, 60 min runtime, released 2013.

The INSPECTOR-202O is AEROCON's unmanned aerial system built as an aerial-target simulator for training MANPADS (man-portable air-defence) gunners, as part of a tactical training field kit developed in 2011-2012 for the Degtyarev Plant in Kovrov; the system passed Russian state trials in 2013 and is in serial delivery. The 3.5 kg electric fixed-wing UAV (4.5 kg optional), with a 1,200 mm wingspan, is launched by rubber bungee or optional catapult, flies a preset route while an on-board infrared emitter lets trainees' launchers lock on to it, and lands by parachute; the airframe is rated for at least 100 landings. AEROCON's own Turman-AS avionics fly the mission automatically - climbing to the set altitude, holding level flight, performing set manoeuvres in the vertical and horizontal planes, measuring wind speed and direction and correcting the flight for actual weather, and landing at a set point or on operator command - using GPS navigation. Position and flight parameters are sent to the ground control station in real time so instructors can objectively review the trainees' actions. It flies for 40-60 minutes at 64-100 km/h, at working altitudes of 70-150 m and up to a 1,500 m ceiling, with a 2 km radio range (10 km optional), in -20 to +40 C and winds up to 10 m/s at launch.
