DESCRIPTION

Encobot LAVA is a Food-Service-Robots from EncoSmart 享刻智能. It is built for Food-Handling, Cooking, Deep-frying fries, chicken and nuggets in fast-food chains, buffets and canteens. Key figures: released 2023.

Encobot LAVA is EncoSmart's fully automatic frying workstation for chain fast-food restaurants, canteens and buffets. A kitchen-specific collaborative arm (EncoArm, built on the company's EncoJoint 25 joint modules) works with a self-developed vision module that recognises the type and state of the food, so the robot loads baskets, fries and unloads on its own; the arm also carries weighing and oil-quality sensors, breads evenly and prompts an oil change after seven fry cycles. An order-management system schedules several orders at once with one-touch operation, the cooking system tunes frying from multimodal data and a cloud platform, and production data and quality indicators are logged for traceability. EncoSmart quotes a plate of fries in about two minutes, an average of 40 seconds per order, a peak of 1,732 orders in a day, 190 days of continuous operation, more than 100,000 fault-free fry tasks and 62% lower energy use than conventional equipment. LAVA received Beijing's first food-service licence for an embodied robot in September 2024. By April 2026 it had begun hundred-unit deliveries to Korean fried-chicken shops, completing close to 20,000 chicken and nugget orders, under a 1,000-unit order from an international fast-food chain; a dual-arm version is on the 2026 roadmap.
