DESCRIPTION

DINERBOT T5 is a Delivery-Robots from Keenon Robotics. It is built for Dish-Collection, Delivery. Key figures: 58 kg, 900 min runtime, 40 kg payload, released 2020.

The Keenon T5 was a commercial food-delivery robot, marketed as the "delivery master" of the company's early restaurant line and built around a four-layer tray stack carrying 10 kg per layer, with adjustable spacing to take plates of differing heights. It navigated on Keenon's own SLAM system - simultaneous localisation and mapping fusing wheel encoders, a gyroscope, LiDAR and odometry - which the company positioned as the basis for running stably and efficiently through a working restaurant. Obstacle avoidance layered depth vision, stereo RGBD vision, LiDAR, a collision sensor and infrared ranging on top of that, and an Android control system with a touch sensor handled interaction. Multiple T5s coordinated through a communication system Keenon developed in-house, scheduling deliveries between machines so they could work the same floor without conflict. A regional speed-limit function let the robot slow itself according to the slope of the ground it was crossing. It also carried an expression display and voice interaction for communicating with diners. The T5 is discontinued; Keenon's current delivery line is the DINERBOT T-series.
