DESCRIPTION
EGrobo is a Cleaning-Robots from Amano. It is built for Cleaning, Autonomous wet scrubbing of large floors in airports, retail and factories. Key figures: 310 kg, price ¥3,950,000, released 2018.
EGrobo is Amano's robotic floor scrubber for large floor areas in commercial facilities and machinery, food and chemical plants, sold from 1 October 2018 as a new model with obstacle avoidance and, by Amano's figures, 60 % more cleaning capacity than its predecessor. It has been used for unattended cleaning in airport terminals such as Haneda and Chubu. Operators drive it once like Amano's EG-series ride-on scrubbers and it learns the route and settings (teaching); water volume and speed can be set for automatic runs. A laser range sensor monitors the surroundings in three dimensions so it knows its position even after a layout change, and laser and ultrasonic sensors detect obstacles to slow, steer around or stop. It scrubs a 650 mm path with 65-litre clean and recovery tanks, saving water through optimised pad speed while its V-squeegee picks up dirty water. The robot measures 780 x 1,200 x 1,090 mm, weighs 310 kg and runs on a 24 V battery; a data service reports status and errors by e-mail and on the web.
