DESCRIPTION
CLINABO is a Cleaning-Robots from Nippon Signal. It is built for Cleaning, Autonomous wet floor scrubbing. Key figures: 220 kg, 180 min runtime.
CLINABO is Nippon Signal's autonomous wet floor-cleaning robot, built for tiled and waxed floors in stations, service areas and other public buildings and meant to work alongside cleaning staff to ease labour shortages. Early units learned their routes by being driven round once by hand; the current model generates its routes automatically, cutting setup from about two hours of teaching to about 15 minutes (10 minutes of mapping and 5 of route generation). For safety it carries Nippon Signal's own sensor from its railway platform-door systems, giving 3D obstacle detection, and ultrasonic sensors prevent falls at steps and collisions. It rides over tactile paving and expansion joints, and its dirty-water tank has a fixed lid and an open shape for easy cleaning. It measures 700 mm wide, 994 mm deep and 1,094 mm tall and weighs about 220 kg. One battery gives about 3 hours of continuous running, covering about 4,800 square metres. JR East uses it at Takanawa Gateway station, and NEXCO Central put one to work in the toilets of Shin-Tomei Hamamatsu service area in July 2021.
