DESCRIPTION

Ecoppia T4 is a Cleaning-Robots from Ecoppia. It is built for Cleaning, Monitoring, Nightly water-free cleaning of solar modules on single-axis trackers. Key figures: released 2019.

The Ecoppia T4 is a lightweight, fully autonomous robot that cleans utility-scale solar arrays on single-axis trackers. While the tracker is in its stow position, the T4 removes soiling with soft microfibre and controlled airflow along an optimised path, and it travels by itself to neighbouring trackers over dedicated bridges using integral sensors. It is compatible with all trackers and module types, including frameless and thin-film panels, and runs nightly so that soiling and dust storms do not cut production. Like Ecoppia's other robots it works without water, operators or grid power: an on-board solar module charges its batteries between runs, it self-cleans its own panel and microfibre elements, and cleaning can be started or cancelled remotely through Ecoppia's cloud platform, which also streams alerts, dashboards and predictive-maintenance data. Ecoppia launched the T4 commercially in March 2019 with a first deployment of over 100 robots in the Middle East; it says the T4 passed accelerated testing by independent laboratories, was certified by module makers, tracker manufacturers and financial institutions and received the European Commission's Seal of Excellence, and it has since been deployed for AES in California, at Benban in Egypt, for ENGIE in Chile and on Matrix Renewables projects in Spain and Chile.
