DESCRIPTION

DuctBot is a Cleaning-Robots from Robosoft Systems. It is built for Cleaning, Filming, Inspection. Key figures: 3.2 kg.

DuctBot is a compact, remote-controlled robot from Robosoft Systems of Mumbai for inspecting and cleaning horizontal HVAC air ducts. Professional duct cleaners and HVAC contractors drive it into the duct on a 30 m cable and watch live video on a hand-held 5-inch digital video recorder, which also stores the footage on a 32 GB SD card as a record of the job. The robot has a four-wheel skid-steer drive with high-torque DC motors, front and rear colour cameras, and three adjustable 3 W LEDs; a wired PS2-style joystick drives it, sets the light intensity and switches cameras. The base robot measures 240 x 190 x 100 mm and weighs 3.2 kg, and the whole system packs into a 20 kg carrying case. Two cleaning versions are offered. The Air-Whip version adds a pneumatic three-tentacle air whip for ducts up to 12 inches, fed by an external compressor. The Rotary Brush version adds a top camera, a pneumatic rotary brush and a linear-actuator lift arm reaching 300 to 600 mm, for ducts of 125 to 600 mm; it weighs 10 kg. Clients named by the maker include Blue Star, EPSCO, Cipla and the Indian Navy.
