ISE Dorado high-speed semi-submersible autonomous tow vehicle

DESCRIPTION

Dorado is a Military from International Submarine Engineering. It is built for Inspection, Monitoring, Remote.

Dorado is ISE's high-speed, unmanned semi-submersible built for mine countermeasures and subsea survey, originally designed for Canada's Department of National Defence. It runs mostly below the surface, which cuts hydrodynamic drag and keeps it steadier in rough seas than a conventional surface drone, while it tows a sonar towfish such as ISE's Aurora at up to 12 knots and depths of 200 m to produce high-quality seabed imagery for mine detection and classification. A surface-piercing mast keeps continuous radio contact and differential GPS positioning, so data flows back in real time and targets are located accurately at stand-off distances of up to 10 km from the host ship. It can be operated remotely or autonomously, and besides mine hunting it has been used for seismic surveys and marine science.
