DIGGER SCRAPER is an Industrial-Robot from Digger Foundation. It is built for Others, Remote operation of construction machines in dangerous sites.

DIGGER SCRAPER is the Digger Foundation's system for converting construction machines - excavators, bulldozers, loaders, dumpers and others, of any brand, with fully hydraulic or electro-hydraulic controls - to remote control, so operators can stay out of danger in demolition, landslide-prone, polluted or explosive-contaminated sites. It was developed after cities in the Middle East, North Africa and Ukraine were destroyed and left full of explosive devices. A custom kit built in Switzerland is installed on the machine: a hydraulic part that takes over control in remote mode and an electronic part for safety management, the radio link and machine controls, plus warning lights, horns and emergency stops; the machine can still be driven normally from its cab. The operator sees through a detachable AVATAR stereoscopic camera mounted at the driver's head position, plus optional auxiliary cameras, streamed live to a virtual reality headset with no perceptible lag. Three control systems are offered: EZ-LIGHT, a suitcase remote control with VR headset and backpack computer for quick interventions; COCKPIT, a joystick station with VR helmet that installs in a vehicle, trailer or building for long-term sites; and EUREKAB, an air-conditioned remote-control cab. Operational range is 250 m in line of sight, extendable to several kilometres with a repeater, and staff training takes one or two days.
