DESCRIPTION
Diego is a Medical-Robots from Tyromotion. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Rehabilitation.
Diego is Tyromotion's robotic arm-shoulder rehabilitation device for upper-limb recovery. Arm cuffs relieve the weight of one or both arms - either at a constant level or through Intelligent Gravity Compensation, which provides only as much support as the patient needs - and the device can also actively assist movement in the vertical plane, where most activities of daily living take place. This lets patients train in three dimensions, proximally or distally, unilaterally or bilaterally. Therapy combines task-oriented practice with real everyday objects, gamified virtual-reality exercises that encourage high repetition, and objective progress tracking. Its open design lets patients train seated in power wheelchairs, standard wheelchairs or armchairs (training is seated only, for safety), and it is used with adults and children with a wide range of arm, hand and shoulder impairments.
