The CAPRA500 is the heavier of Capra Robotics' two mobile robot platforms, using the same patented flexible four-wheel chassis with stronger motors and a larger battery for transport work indoors and outdoors. Capra builds its Capra Carrier logistics solution on this class of robot, towing or carrying carts between buildings, across yards and through food-processing plants, and the platform exposes a ROS 2 interface for integrators. It measures 1,145 x 635 x 356 mm and weighs 73.5 kg, has four 576 W hub motors, carries up to 100 kg and tows up to 500 kg at up to 6 km/h, and handles 50% slopes and 140 mm steps. A 48 V, 40 Ah LFP battery gives up to 15 hours and 75 km per charge, with wireless charging from 20 to 80% in an hour. Like the CAPRA200 it is IP65, rated -20 to +40 °C, uses 2D and 3D lidar plus a depth camera, complies with ISO 3691-4 and RIA R15.08-1, and follows VDA 5050 fleet commands over Wi-Fi or 5G.
