Alva is Sveaverken's wire-free robotic lawn mower for home gardens. It combines RTK satellite positioning with a vision sensor for centimetre-level navigation, and its built-in 4G connection receives RTK corrections through Sveaverken's own NTRIP service, so no separate antenna is needed and the charging station can go under trees, near buildings or under a roof. Work zones and no-go areas are created by driving the mower around them in the SveaMow app, where the vision sensor refines the edges; the camera also spots obstacles, photographs them and alerts the owner. Alva mows about 200 m2 per hour and up to 2,000 m2 a day with a 260 mm cut at 20-60 mm (40-80 mm on the high-cut version), climbs slopes up to 33 degrees (65%), runs two hours per charge and recharges in one hour. Rain, lift and collision sensors and an anti-theft alert protect it, and the mower is IPX5 with an IP65 charging station.
