DESCRIPTION

AGIBOT G1 is the data-collection member of AgiBot's line-up, and that is the honest way to read its specification: AgiBot calls it a general-purpose robot designed for data collection and model inference, which is a different job from doing the work itself. It gathers the physical-world demonstrations that embodied models are trained on, and runs those models back on the same body. The build follows from that. A wheeled chassis turns in place, handles 95 per cent of factory pathways and mounts obstacles up to 20 mm, with RGBD cameras front and rear plus LiDAR for obstacle avoidance. A bending, rising and lowering waist takes the robot between 130 and 180 cm, so one machine can reach a floor-level bin and a high shelf and can capture demonstrations at human working heights rather than one fixed height. It weighs 150 kg and spans 70 cm. Twenty degrees of freedom before the end-effectors, six more in each end-effector, and six-axis force sensing give it the contact resolution that manipulation data needs; the end-effector can be swapped for a two-finger gripper. Perception is three RGBD cameras and five fisheye cameras, and a Jetson AGX Orin 64 GB carries the compute — enough to run inference on board rather than tethering to a workstation. Runtime is quoted at over four hours. AgiBot positions it for industrial, commercial and domestic settings.
