DESCRIPTION

Agadexo Shoulder is an Industrial-Robot from Agade. It is built for Material-Handling, Helping, Shoulder support during manual load handling. Key figures: 480 min runtime, released 2024.

Agadexo Shoulder is Agade's semi-active upper-body exoskeleton - a wearable robot that reduces muscular effort in the shoulders and upper back during repetitive lifting, carrying and lowering of heavy loads between hip and head height, transferring the load to the legs. Sensorised bracelets on the arms and AI algorithms recognise when the wearer grasps and lifts a payload, so the device activates automatically and assists only when needed. Its semi-active actuators combine an elastic spring mechanism with an electric motor, which keeps power consumption, motor and battery weight down; a removable battery gives more than 8 hours of operation. The carbon-fibre structure is worn like a mountain backpack and leaves the arms free to move, and an easy command interface controls the device. Launched in 2024 after field tests with Brembo and other pilot customers, it holds the ESO-EAWS certification from Fondazione Ergo as an effective tool for reducing shoulder and upper-back effort in manual material handling, and targets manufacturing, automotive, foundry and metal-sheet work, end-of-line logistics, retail restocking and food processing.
