Hyperion Robotics Raises US$7.4 Million to Build UK Robotic Microfactory

Hyperion Robotics, a Finnish physical-AI startup, raised US$7.4 million in growth funding co-led by Course Corrected and the European Innovation Council Fund, with participation from RE Ventures and existing investors Lifeline Ventures and Übermorgen Ventures. The company's Forge platform combines design, engineering, code compliance, robotics, and factory operations to manufacture infrastructure components in factory settings located near construction projects, rather than on-site.

The funding will launch Forge I, Hyperion's first UK microfactory, in Flixborough near Scunthorpe, in partnership with LKAB, producing components for energy, utilities, water, and data center projects. Hyperion cites internal figures of up to three times faster production, up to 50 percent lower costs, up to 70 percent lower carbon emissions, and up to 75 percent less material use compared with traditional construction methods.

Those efficiency figures come from Hyperion itself, not from an independent audit of the Flixborough facility, so they should be read as targets the company is building toward rather than confirmed operating results. The more concrete, checkable fact is the LKAB partnership and the Flixborough site itself, which gives a specific location and partner that infrastructure buyers or competitors can watch for actual output data once the microfactory is running.
